GRACIA BURDEOS, CHOSEN AMONG THE TOP 100 LEADING WOMEN IN SPAIN

SPB > AWARDS > GRACIA BURDEOS, CHOSEN AMONG THE TOP 100 LEADING WOMEN IN SPAIN

Gracia Burdeos has been chosen as one of Spain's Top 100 Women Leaders in the category of businesswomen in the ninth edition of these awards, which aim to highlight the talent, leadership and good work of leading women in order to build a society based on equality.  This distinction recognises the professional career of Gracia Burdeos, CEO of SPB, one of the leading companies in Europe in the household and personal care products sector.

More than 500 women applied for the award, which received more than 75,000 votes in a record year. “I am absolutely proud to have been chosen among this group of the Top 100 alongside so many extraordinary women who are great references in their sectors. Being nominated alongside so many talented women was already a privilege and I have experienced the voting process as a gift, receiving the support, affection and consideration of many people,” said Gracia Burdeos. “I would like to thank and congratulate Mercedes Wullich and all her team for their work in making female leadership and talent visible, because thanks to initiatives like this one, women are gradually occupying those spaces and roles that allow us to leave our mark”.

This recognition puts the spotlight on Gracia Burdeos, who took over the general management of SPB almost three years ago, leading a company of 650 people. A company that has lived the pandemic intensely as it is considered an essential sector and is dedicated, in part, to the formulation and manufacture of disinfectant products for both skin and surfaces. In addition, last year, under its management, it carried out an important corporate operation by acquiring a company in the sector in Germany and consolidating its internationalisation.

The award also recognises Gracia Burdeos's leadership, putting people at the centre of the organisation and structuring all the levers of growth around the team. “My team is the key to everything. They are the ones who, step by step, make SPB the company we want it to be. Our origins are family-based and we feel like one big family. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at SPB for their passion and commitment”, said Gracia Burdeos.

Gracia Burdeos also wanted to thank her father, founder of the company, Miguel Burdeos, who handed over the reins of SPB to her in 2019, and her entire family for their trust. “My father is my reference and I think we should all learn from those generations who worked so hard to raise their dreams with many difficulties. Thanks to him, my mother and my siblings for their trust. This award also goes to them and to my husband and my five children who make my life an adventure,” said Gracia Bordeaux.
