Gracia Burdeos, General Manager of SPB, has been honored with the Miguel Burdeos Award for Best Executive, granted by the Social Council of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). This recognition is especially meaningful, not only for its professional significance but also because it bears the name of her father, Miguel Burdeos, President of SPB and a key figure in the history of the UPV Social Council.

The award ceremony, part of the 24th edition of the Social Council Awards, was filled with emotion and meaning. Awards were presented for academic excellence, teaching careers, university-business collaboration, and social responsibility. One of the most moving moments was the award for University Social Responsibility, given to the project “Recuperar las Memorias” by the UPV Faculty of Fine Arts.

The Miguel Burdeos Award was the final recognition of the evening, introduced with heartfelt words that honored Miguel Burdeos’ legacy and his deep commitment to public education and leadership development.

In her speech, Gracia Burdeos emphasized the social role of companies:

“Companies are not only economic engines, but also social ones. We have the responsibility to create value and well-being in society.”
