Equal opportunities between men and women at SPB is a strategic pillar included in our policies, equality plans and Code of Ethics and Conduct. As a fact, 50% of SPB’s management positions are women. This figure rises to 86% in Research, 65% in Sustainability, Environment and Quality and 61% in Engineering.
In the company as a whole, in which there is a very significant weight of production positions, the figure for women is 40%. Although there is still a long way to go for this percentage to be equalised, the trend in recent years shows significant growth every year.
The general manager of SPB, Gracia Burdeos, is a woman. That shows the relevance of women in our company. In her opinion, “although we have to continue improving, it is very encouraging to see that in areas such as R&D&I, the majority presence of women is a reality. At SPB, we fight any glass ceiling”.
